The CHP Salinas facility serves as the Monterey Area Office for the California Highway Patrol. The facility included a 911 dispatch center, CHP offices, auto shop, and fuel dispensing facility. O'Mahony & Myer provided complete electrical systems design for the facility, including lighting design, emergency and normal power distributions systems, fire alarm systems, CCTV system, and intercom system. The project included a propane-powered, emergency back-up generator with a radiator mounted load bank. To provide uninterrupted power for the 911 dispatch center a UPS system was designed into the emergency distribution system.
