Our commercial work covers a wide range of facilities and services and amounts to over 1,500 projects. Office buildings and retail establishments account for over 40% of our commercial work, with restaurants, wineries, financial institutions and private residential properties representing a significant portion of the remaining 900 or so projects. For a variety of reasons, O'Mahony & Myer no longer accepts commissions on private residential projects, leaving that business to others who specialize in residential lighting design.
High profile commercial projects include the domestic and international headquarters facilities and a number of regional data centers for VISA; the Federal Express Corporate Facilities in Memphis, Tennessee; the Sacramento and White River Amphitheaters for Bill Graham Presents; the Metreon in downtown San Francisco; and over two million square feet of office and industrial space for clients such as Hewlett Packard, IBM, Google, Advanced Micro Devices, and Sun Microsystems. We have designed over 70 wineries for such well known vintners as Kendall Jackson, Clos du Bois, Beringer, Guenoc, Stag's Leap, Geyser Peak, Sebastiani, Chateau St. Jean, and Piper Sonoma Champagne. Retail clients have included Sharper Image, Sony, Smith & Hawkin, Williams Sonoma, Scandinavian Design, Geoffrey Beane, Peet's Coffee, and Philip Van Heusen, among a host of others.
